Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LISW-CP, LCSW
With over 25 years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I provide individual and family therapy in a supportive, nonjudgmental space. I specialize in working with adolescents, college students, and adults of all ages navigating identity struggles, relationship issues, emotional regulation, life transitions, and trauma recovery.
My therapy style is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I integrate a range of evidenced-based modalities tailored to your unique needs - including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure and Response Therapy (ERP) for OCD, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Together, we'll build practical tools for emotional regulation, improve self-awareness, and help you move toward a more grounded, fulfilling life. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions to accommodate your preferences and needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about therapy services, insurance, and what to expect.
-
Your first session is primarily an assessment where we'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your history, and your goals. I'll explain my approach and how we might work together. This is also a time for you to ask questions and determine if we're a good fit. The session lasts about 50 minutes, and by the end, we'll have a preliminary plan for moving forward.
-
Yes, I accept several major insurance plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare. I can also provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. During our initial consultation, we can discuss your insurance coverage and any potential out-of-pocket costs. For clients without insurance coverage, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need.
-
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum in the therapeutic process. As you progress and reach your goals, we may transition to biweekly or monthly sessions. The frequency and duration of therapy depend on your specific needs, goals, and progress. We'll regularly review your treatment plan and adjust as needed.
-
Yes, I offer both in-person and secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual therapy sessions. Many clients find teletherapy to be convenient and just as effective as in-person sessions. You can choose the format that works best for you, and we can also use a hybrid approach if that suits your needs and schedule.
-
The duration of therapy varies greatly depending on your specific concerns, goals, and progress. Some clients with specific issues may benefit from short-term therapy (8-12 sessions), while others with more complex challenges may engage in therapy for several months or longer. We'll regularly assess your progress and adjust the treatment plan accordingly. My goal is to help you achieve your therapeutic goals as efficiently as possible.
-
I provide brief check-ins via secure messaging for urgent matters between sessions. However, therapy is not an emergency service. If you're experiencing a crisis or emergency, please call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988. We'll discuss crisis resources during your first session and include them in your treatment plan.
